Our Founder and Executive Director
Heather Park leads the Alec 22 Foundation as its Founder and Executive Director. With over a decade of leadership in both public service and nonprofit work, she currently drives statewide efforts to abate the opioid crisis at the State of California, overseeing strategic program development, data analysis, and fund allocation to support prevention, treatment, and harm reduction initiatives.
Previously, she led billing operations and analytics for autism support programs. Earlier, Heather channeled her entrepreneurial spirit as the owner of River City Cupcakes, where she designed proprietary recipes and custom creations for weddings and special events.
Motivated by her personal journey with her son Alec, who lived with Ring 22 syndrome and passed in January of 2025, Heather founded the scholarship foundation in his memory. She is dedicated to easing the educational path for students facing family caregiving responsibilities, blending her policy expertise, analytical insight, and heartfelt advocacy to drive positive impact.
